The... If you're familiar with the original run of the British television show Doctor Who, You might recall the seventh doctor played by

Sylvester McCoy in the story Ghostlight saying the line, I loathe bus stations, terrible

places full of lost luggage and lost souls. You know I think there's some truth in that,

especially if you've ever been at a bus station in the small hours where

they're often inhabited by people that you'd never really see at any other time.

They exist in the times when we're usually sleeping.

They are lost souls just looking for somewhere with some light and shelter. I know there are a few listeners out there from my home city who may know what I mean about

our particular bus station in the city centre.

I think bus stations at night especially exist in a kind of strange limbo.

Everyone's either coming from somewhere or going somewhere and nobody really wants to be there.

You can't really get comfortable. You're usually tired but you can't sleep so you're in this kind of limbo too.

You're just really stalled until that bus finally turns up to take you somewhere where you can carry on living your life again.

A perfect place for the Twilight Zone, I think, and add to that some elements from what I think is quite a fascinating piece of folklore that I'll talk about later and you have one of my personal favorites mirror image. Excuse me.
