Joy Ride Remixes album out on K-Rex in October 2006. You might know Mira as the female vocalist

from the band The Microphones, but she's also been making her own delectable lo-fi indie pop since 1997.

She's known around her college town of Olympia, Washington, as having the sexiest voice in rock.

She's taken a hiatus from writing for the past two years or so, but decided to let a bunch of her friends take up some of her tracks and remake them electronically.

The result is the Joyride Remixes album, which features songs from several of her records.
