Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

Yesterday we learned the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Today we reflect on the miracles connected with the image of Guadalupe.

Recall from yesterday, the Aztec nation was enslaved to a cult of human sacrifice.

50,000 men, women, and children put to death annually.

One out of every five children were put to death.

It's hard to imagine such a barbaric culture, yet Americans have murdered on average 1 million children each year since 1973.

More than 50 million. One out of every five children have been sacrificed

to abortion. Furthermore, the Aztec culture wanted nothing to do with Jesus Christ or the Catholic Church.

The Aztec seemed impossible to convert, and just when it looked as though all hope was lost.

The mother of God appeared to Juan Diego, she left a supernatural virtually indestructible sign and within nine years the entire Aztec nation

converted to Christ, entered the Catholic Church and the human sacrifice was ended.

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallow would be your name,

Thy kingdom come by will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us our day and barely bread, forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass

against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil
