I'm Abatakiapi, this is Nekestis here for the Red Nation podcast. A quick update on what has been

going on the last two months. We're living through a very dangerous moment here in Minnesota

Makoche. We, you know, we are two months, barely two months into Operation Metro Surge.

There's still no end in sight.

Nowhere is safe.

Not schools, not daycares, not public parks, not shopping centers or hospitals.

We've seen people abducted from all of these places, all of these locations,

and what was presented as a crackdown on the worst of the worst is hardened into something

far more dangerous, an open-ended campaign of terror and political theater carried out on the

occupied streets of Minneapolis and increasingly over other parts

of Minnesota. There is a never-ending state of emergency, the presence of federal officers who

outnumber local police has become normalized. Murder and abduction are sort of the collateral damage of this occupation,

and a general feeling of terror feels like this is the intended outcome of what not just the

Trump administration wants, but his officials within the Department of Homeland Security.

And today I wanted to just do a quick news rundown.

I'll add some analysis at the end for folks, but I felt like it might be a good moment to

kind of stop and take a breather.

Minneapolis has been going hard for the last three weeks, if not more, in this, in this, you know, this occupation, there's no other

word that comes to mind. And so I picked out some incidents that have happened recently,

some bad things and some good things. But I think it's worth just going over the timeline. So Operation Metro

Surge formally began on December 1st of 2025 last year. And that included sort of the deployment
