Acts 13th chapter.

On Friday nights, we've been on a theme, and I believe we should continue.

And I believe tonight has to do specifically with the new year.

And something that came up on Phyllis's heart today

and then also on mine.

And so we'll get to it here in just a moment.

Acts chapter 13.

Acts chapter 13 in verse 1 says,

Now there were in the church that was at Antioch

certain prophets and teachers as Barnabas and Simeon, Lucius, Manian, and Saul.

And so, according to the scripture, these, what is that, five men, they were either a prophet

or a teacher, or could have been a prophet and a teacher.

And verse two, as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, should preachers pray?

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, separate me, Barnabas and Saul for the work where unto I've called them. So, like we've said before, you couldn't say you fasted for 15 minutes. You'd have to miss at least one meal.

So you're talking about hours.
