Welcome to the podcast. This is episode 3.72. My name is Douglas Wilson and I welcome you aboard.

Thanks for showing up. Thanks for listening to this. What I'd like to talk about here is a ministry that I just recently found out about.

0:37.1

And it's not, this is a ministry that doesn't apply to every

0:44.1

situation. It might just be a niche, a niche need. But I think everybody ought to know about it.

0:51.7

Everybody who cares about education and how our young people

0:56.1

are doing. So as most of you know, if not all of you know, I've been involved in private

1:02.2

education since the late 70s, and I'm a wholehearted advocate of private Christian education.

2:01.5

sort of there. And their kids are in the government school system. Enter the ministry I want to talk

2:08.7

to you about today. This is a ministry called Lifewise Academy. Lifewise Academy. Now, this is the way it works. In 1952, the Supreme Court decided,

2:25.2

determined that it was constitutional, fully constitutional, for public schools to release students

2:32.7

for an hour a day to have religious instruction provided

2:38.6

that religious instruction was done off-site, off the school property, and it was

2:44.8

privately funded. Now, if you live in the Pacific Northwest, like I do, you'll realize that, for example, in southern Idaho,
