Hi, Octavia.

I've been better.

I have COVID.

I got it the day before my birthday.

It has been lingering.

I'm dealing with some serious fatigue and trying to truly embrace

convalescence right now, which it turns out is very hard to do. But I'm feeling great.

I mean, I'm just feeling very grateful for the vaccine because it could have been a lot worse and for friends and family and, you know, modern medicine. So trying to see the bright side of this. But yeah, not the best.

Well, and also, listen, you're being an incredible trooper showing up for this recording this morning. So I'm sure everyone listening is like thrilled that you're here. And

I just hope that it passes soon. It's such a blight. It is a blight and unexpectedly a blight

because everyone was talking about how mild Omicron is, but this has not been mild. It's so interesting

because that whole chat about it being mild, no one I know who's had it has found it

mild. So I don't know who these people are who've found it, I mean, good for them, but like,

everyone I know who's had it has had quite a serious experience of, you know, several weeks of deep

fatigue, total bed rest, et cetera. Well, I would not wish it upon my enemies and certainly not upon my dear friend, Octavia Bright.

I would like to know how you are.

Well, I don't have COVID, which puts me in a really strong position in this conversation.

But I do have a small virus, so I'm still feeling a little bit under the weather.

But nothing compared to you, I'm still up and about. But just kind of, you know, it's funny, isn't it? Those moments where you're reminded of your physical fragility and just having a bit of a cold even, like, makes me feel depressed. So I'm also not at my most tippy-toppy, Tootty, too. But I had a lovely day yesterday. I went to see some friends
