Summary

How are you finding reading at the moment? Are you struggling to drag your eyes away from Twitter or endlessly scrolling news sites? What does escapism really mean? What's working, and what isn't working in these anxious times? We are currently about sixty miles apart from one another, but very pleased to be bringing you Minisode Twelve from our isolation stations. We want to offer a little escapism, but we also want, maybe even need to talk about what's going on right now. So we're going to talk about literature in quarantine, which also means talking about not being able to read at all. We hope you're all doing ok, and we remain at your service through whatever's on the horizon, and as always, thank you for listening. 1:13.8

Honestly, for the sake of my own sanity as much as for anything else.

1:18.1

Because I think little bits of normality feel super important at the moment, don't they?

1:22.5

Yeah, they really do.

1:23.7

And we want to keep bringing you literary friction like we always do.

1:28.9

You might have to bear with us on the sound quality front we are not quite in our closets but it's all pretty makeshift and i know you

1:39.4

i think you're so much better set up for this quarantine iddle than me in the city, honestly.

1:45.9

Like the thought of a misty run along a waterway sounds incredible.

1:50.3

I go for walks in my local streets and there's just like a lot of very anxious people clutching

shopping bags crossing the road to try and avoid each other.
