Summary

Today, Kaytee and Mindy are here to share our homeschool wisdom. Between us, we have 27 years of homeschooling experience, and we are excited to share with you a bunch of what we've learned in that time. Minisode episodes are not time stamped, but we have a quick list of topics:

  • Getting Started: how much time it takes to homeschool, providing structure and routine (poster board and post-its, spiral notebooks), outside play, when to start formal school

  • Homeschool specific: philosphies and methods of education, how to choose curricula, when to abandon a curriculum, homeschool preschool soapbox

  • Virtual school specific: creating a schedule with a reward system, how to make a virtual school routine, what to do with non-school scheduled hours, ArtForKidsHub.com, 201 Awesome, Magical, Bizarre, and Incredible Experiments by Janice VanCleave

  • Applicable to both: entertaining younger siblings while older kids do school, how to fit in reading/work/housework while kids are around, how to fit in self-care, quiet time, what to do when outside play isn't an option

  • Encouragement! You can do this!
