I'm your host, Claire, and I'm so glad you're here. Hey everybody happy Friday. Happy Friday. I know you probably saw the

podcast come up in your podcast feed and you're like it's not Wednesday but I really wanted to do a mini sowed because I've had something on my mind lately on my heart and I wanted to share it and that is Advent. I know you're like it is not Advent yet. It is early November, but it's actually not it's November 15th. That means it's halfway through November and Advent starts the first Sunday after

Thanksgiving so I mean it is really coming up and the reason that I want to talk

about Advent is because I really am hoping to make this advent intentional.

I don't know about you, but I kind of feel like every year,

Advent sneaks up on me, and then I see all these cool things

that other people are doing for advent and I'm like I should have

planned that but now we're two weeks in and I didn't do anything and I feel like I don't use it as a really

like prayerful time to grow closer to God and then suddenly it's

Christmas and like all I've really done is watch the Grinch a bunch of times so I

really want to approach this advent intentionally.

And so a key part of that for me

is always planning, like planning ahead,

kind of making on a map of what I want to try to do.

That being said, another thing that is hard for me with Advent is that sometimes I think we really try to do it all when it comes to liturgical seasons.

There's like a really big trend right now in like the online Catholic world to live

really liturgically which is beautiful and of our church and we should do it but

sometimes that gets mist translated into we should do everything.

We should do every craft, every pin, bake, every saint food, like just this complete lack of our own discernment and our own like this is something that

matters to my family but instead it becomes just this long to do list of things we feel like we have
