Now you guys know I don't do these mini episodes very often, but every once in a while there

is a book that so fascinates me that I feel like I must talk to the author. And you guys

heard me talk about this book not too long ago on the big show, this is Legends and La Tais.

And the author is Travis Paltry, and he is here with me today to talk about this book,

which is absolutely gone like wildfire amongst our community. Thank you so much Travis

Oh yeah, I've been really, really, really excited about this. So just sort of to remind everybody,

I was having a week, a couple of months ago, and my really good friend Betsy was talking to me,

and I was saying, I can't find any book that is interesting to me. Nothing kind of feels

safe in my brain. And she said, well, you know what you need, Meredith, you need an emotional

support book. And I was like, oh my God, that's exactly what my brain needs right now. And she's

like, I have the perfect thing for you. But you have to trust me and just read it. She said,

I don't want you to look at the cover and start going, Betsy, you've lost your mind. And so I did,

and I started it. And within one chapter, I was so sucked into the world of Viv and all of her

friends that I immediately was searching to see if there was a sequel. We'll get to whether or not

there will be later. But Travis, do you want to do me a favor and kind of set up the way you set

up legends and lattes? How do you tell people what it's about? I generally say that it's a cozy

fantasy because everybody's really familiar with cozy mystery. And almost jokingly before I started

the book, I said, you know what, when I'm going to write something, I'm going to write something

that's like a hallmark channel movie set in dungeons and dragons. And initially, I thought it was
