anonymous today. This person writes,

First off, I have to say that what you are doing is amazing and is helping people everywhere feel valued and not crazy for realizing the truth about the church quote unquote well thank you

so much also i love that you put the church in quotation marks because i swear whenever uh

mormons are talking about the church it's always like the one the one church church, you know, the capital C church. So I like that.

That was funny. I'm emailing you mostly because I have no one else to turn to. I'm a student currently

at BYU, Idaho, which I thought was a great way to gain back my testimony in this church. Yuck.

Since I have been here, I've realized that my life is a lie,

that the church is not only a cult, but also racist, sexist, and homophobic.

Oh my goodness. So first of all, I'm so sorry that you are stuck at BYU, Idaho.

And I think you sent this back in February.

I'm sorry it takes us a little while to get through the emails,

but I hope you're hanging in there.

I hope at least now you're maybe taking classes online and maybe not having to deal with so much of the campus crap that comes along with the IU, Idaho.

But yes, you are right. It is definitely racist, sexist, and homophobic,obic very problematic that would be a terrible

place to be having a faith crisis so I feel for you they continue I've had

boys use the scripture as a way to guilt me into dating them oh I've had

institute teachers tell women of the church not to be greedy when we ask for the

priesthood.

I've been slut-shamed by women for wearing dark gray leggings.

Oh, I feel all of those things.
