Today's minisode is all about the pioneer trek. So we referenced this a little bit in our episode about being a teenager in the Mormon church. But we didn't really talk too much about it.

And we got a good email, well, all of the emails you guys send in are good,

but we got an email that was really good at describing some of the craziness.

So I thought I would read that to you guys and then tell you a little bit more about my experience on

the pioneer trick because, oof. Okay. Here we go. I'm not going to say her name because I don't

think that she wants her name said.

So I'll skip over that part.

Hi, I'm 18 years old.

I've been wanting to leave the church since I was about 13 or 14,

but can't leave until I go off to college.

So in just a few months, I will be free.

Anyways, I don't know if you guys are doing Trek stories, but I thought

I'd share mine because it was pretty crazy, aside from the fact that you have to wear pioneer

clothes, walk miles each day in the summer heat, and that people have literally died from Trek.

Even my grandma, who was a devout Mormon, thinks Trek is crazy and told me that if our ancestors

had to suffer through it, we shouldn't have to.

Anyways, my parents were up at Trek with me as, quote unquote, ma's and paws, or whatever the

fuck.

And the first day, my dad had to be taken to the hospital because of severe chest

pains. Nobody told me. So I was running around the campsite all night trying to find them until I was
