| 0:00.0 | Welcome to another mini-sode, a murder, myth, and mystery. I am Mary. Sarah, did I say that right? You did. Okay. She was looking at me really weird. No, I was just excited because we're still in the studio. So, it's still unbelievable. |
| 0:26.0 | It means ain't my thing. No, you killed it. You got your name right? Yeah, I did. I'm Eric. I'm Sarah. I'm Sarah here. We're all back together again our second time. Right. |
| 0:39.5 | We reunited. It is so good. I love tacos. Oh, sorry. Wow, we're just going here freestyle. Okay, guys. I have the patron mini-sode this week. Oh, okay. |
| 0:59.5 | And it is a story request from Echo K. So thank you for listening, being a supporter and a story idea. |
| 1:07.5 | It's plus awesome name echo. It's great. Yeah. I love that. Okay. Okay. Here we go. Let's go. And Cook was murdered on May 9, 2000, as she was walking her King Charles Spaniel in Watford Park. Oh, sad. I love those dogs. How do you do? |
| 1:27.5 | Lady. We're not sad about her. We're sad about the dog. Where are they? We're probably fine. Yeah, I know the dog was fine, but oh, they've just got the cutest little faces. And we're going back track a little bit. Let's focus on Ann. Okay. Sorry. I did see the dog. Really cute. Yeah. |
| 1:45.5 | Ann was 35 years old, single and was an identical twin. She was a website designer and had been living with her twin sister until her twin Susan got married and moved out to live with her husband. |
| 1:59.5 | Ann had a dog named LV, which again was a King Charles Spaniel and apparently Sarah loves them. Apparently they're super cute. |
| 2:09.5 | Ann and her sister Susan always walked the dog together, but since Ann started walking her dog herself, she started carrying a small pocket knife for protection, which I will come back to later on. Okay. |
| 2:22.5 | On May 9, Ann went out to walk her dog as usual in the nearby park, but little did she know a shirtless man was hiding in the bushes of the wooded park area waiting for some random stranger to be his prey. |
| 2:37.5 | A dog owner and his dog came upon Ann's body and her dog was standing by protecting her. Oh, police were called in an investigation immediately started up. |
| 2:50.5 | Ann's sister Susan wanted justice, and pleaded to the community to come forward if they had any tips or witness something that day. |
| 2:59.5 | Many came forward with names and things they saw and every lead was thoroughly checked out, but only one witness had a valid tip. |
| 3:08.5 | A man was seen running bare-chested along the motorway and dashed across the motorway, like the freeway, dashed across the motorway and went into the nearby area, neighborhood. |
| 3:25.5 | So police then started patrolling the neighborhood and knocking on all the doors, making inquiries if they saw anything or knew anything. |
| 3:36.5 | Now, it just so happened that a few weeks earlier, two young schoolgirls were walking home when they were sexually violated in the same area. |
| 3:47.5 | The girls gave a rather basic description of the man, not knowing if there was a connection they continued with the search, the police did, right? |
| 3:57.5 | They even shut down the motorway for a morning to search for any clues and guess what? The search paid off. |
| 4:05.5 | They recovered a bloody kitchen knife, and it was sent off to forensics in hopes of a quick turnaround. |
| 4:12.5 | Wow, on the motorway they found that. That's crazy. Wow, okay. That's a good find. |
| 4:19.5 | Now, back to the tips that were still coming in and being sorted through. Some were saying they saw a shirtless man hiding in the alleyways, and another resident pointed out that a man was hiding in places that only residents of the neighborhood would know about. |
| 4:35.5 | Interesting, right? We all have those neighborhoods growing up. They're you, the little little nosing crannies. |
