Hello, Susie. It's really, really great. I think you're all going to enjoy it. I'm just going to hop right in.

Okay. I swear I'm not a stalker.

I just found your podcast and binged on it while working a long and boring business trip to Wisconsin.

I mean, what else am I going to do when it's zero degrees out?

Your stories of dating, life in the culture, even skin walkers have hit so incredibly close to home.

It just feels validating to hear other people share the same thoughts and experience the same mortification.

When I was 20, I went on a date with a fellow,

we will just refer to as crazy-faced McMorman.

We hid it off, and he was charming, good-looking, and lots of fun.

Well, just two months into dating, he proposed.

I remember being terrified.

I was only 20. We'd only been dating two months.

This was crazy. But, but he told me he had prayed about it. And he was a priesthood holder and I was just a silly girl.

I read the scriptures every day, doubled down on praying and tried desperately to receive the same confirmation that we should get married. I never did. I only got a pit in my stomach that grew and grew

until I started getting physically ill. I remember I would be sitting with him watching TV, and I'd

suddenly have to run to the bathroom and throw up for a few minutes.

After that, I'd be fine.

But then, I got my very first migraine.

I've always had very normal periods, but leading up to the marriage, I had a period that didn't stop for over 30 days.

I now know, my body was telling me, run away, save yourself.
