Summary

When life gets busy and tough, we can sometimes focus on what we don’t have. Instead, we need to be grateful for everything we have, including the “obstacles” which are opportunities in hiding.

Start writing down what you are grateful for in a gratitude journal. Start your day with a gratitude journal. Tony Robbins inspired me to do this around 2001.


LESSONS:

Write down 3 things you are grateful for, including the most simple things such as seeing the sun or the moon.
Be grateful for everything, including the challenges that you’ve been stressing over.
Make your gratitude journal part of your core morning ritual.
Write in your journal every day, 7 days a week. It only takes 2 minutes MAX!

So in my early 20s, about 24-25, I was a third year school teacher I was a big fan of Tony Robbins I had

read his book Awaken the Giant Within and I saw that he was coming to New Jersey

I immediately looked up the seminar. I saw the prices and I took my entire two-week paycheck and purchased the VIP front row seating.

The thing that hit home most of me

was when he spoke about his use of gratitude

and he became grateful.

He said this was the pivotal moment of his life when he was grateful for the

little things his eyes that he could see the ocean with his legs that were

whatever TV dinners he was making because this was a time where he was

depressed he was overweight he was trying to get his was and he just couldn't. So he said I started becoming grateful for everything I have
