| 0:00.0 | Welcome to this on-air with Ella Minisode, a little bite-sized boost to your day. |
| 0:04.4 | Always quick, always thought-provoking, and always under 10 minutes. |
| 0:08.3 | Let's go. |
| 0:10.5 | If you are not eating a meat-centric diet, you probably should be looking into amino acid supplementation. |
| 0:19.8 | So just so I don't come off overly pushy for like supplements, I think you can do it, but you need to pay without supplementation potentially, but you need to pay a lot of attention to what you're eating. You need to be really looking at like any additional fats you don't really need because you're trying to eat a lot of grains and logoons and these things that have proteins in them. And you're going to have to eat so much of them that you can't be eating like other types of non-protein-rich calories. Otherwise, it's going to be, it's not going to work for you. To stay healthy, right, to maintain lean mass, but also not get like overweight or not feel really sluggish because you're eating so much. You have to work a lot harder. If you choose a plant-based diet, I do think you have to work harder to think about what you're eating. I think supplementation makes more sense for the plant-based eater. And the reason for that is because this is outside of age. When we get into age, it gets even more compelling. So one scoop of, say, essential amino acids, like what's in Keon Aminos, is many times more powerful |
| 1:13.5 | gram for gram than just one gram of protein. There's studies, and this is a slightly older |
| 1:18.9 | populations, where three grams of essential amino acids is equal to 20 grams of a protein powder. |
| 1:26.3 | Say that again. Yeah, so three grams of amino acids, essential amino acids, is equal to 20 grams of a protein powder. Say that again. Yeah, so three grams of amino acids, |
| 1:29.4 | essential amino acids, is equal to 20 grams of a weight protein. So over six times the impact |
| 1:35.4 | of muscle protein synthesis. For example, if I had one scoop of this, one scoop of key on aminos is |
| 1:40.5 | five grams of essential amino acids. It's the equivalent of 30 grams of protein. |
| 1:45.9 | It's super concentrate. I think about like if you like do, you get the super concentrate soap. |
| 1:52.3 | You can have like imagine like you can use one sixth the soap, right? You can use one sixth the |
| 1:57.2 | amount of total quantity and get that impact. I think for people that are on a plant-based |
| 2:01.2 | diet where you're already kind of challenged because you're having to like eat a lot more food |
| 2:05.3 | to get in the protein. If you supplement with something like essential amino acids, you're getting |
| 2:10.2 | this huge impact. You're getting the equivalent of three, four, five, six times the amount of |
| 2:14.3 | protein as you would normally get from that plant-based source from |
| 2:18.1 | supplementing with this. So it makes it easier rather than having to eat, you know, another 30, |
| 2:22.6 | 60 grams of protein to get to these higher upper limits. I would never recommend replacing the |
| 2:27.2 | daily allowance or like not eating whole food diets. But you supplement with like a few scoops |
| 2:31.7 | of this per day. You multiply that by four or five times and like, boom, you're at this much higher daily |
