Hello and welcome to best laid plans.

0:11.2

This is your host, Sarah Hart Unger, and this is the podcast where we talk all things

0:14.7

planning and planning adjacent.

0:17.0

Today I have for you a mini Q&A and a kind of brief product review of a few things I picked up on my trip that I talked about last week on the travel on the fly episode.

0:29.1

So a little bit of a hybrid episode for you today as well as a follow-up from Vicky.

0:34.1

So I guess I'll open up with that.

0:35.9

If you remember, Vicki was my really good friend,

0:39.4

who's a physician up in Boston, who was really looking for a small compact planner without a lot

0:44.5

motivational phrases or decor. And you guys delivered with wonderful suggestions for her. So thank you

0:51.8

so much. She ended up deciding to purchase both a

0:55.3

Gibun, Techo, B6, Slim, and a Hobonichi Weeks. She has used both of those in the past, but I think

having you guys, you know, not have a lot of other alternatives of things she hadn't heard of,

1:08.0

plus realizing that even though those two are not perfect, she doesn't love the yellow paper in the Hobonichi weeks, and she hadn't heard of, plus realizing that even though those two are not perfect,

1:11.3

she doesn't love the yellow paper in the Hobonichi weeks, and she doesn't love the gridlines

1:16.7

on the Gimu and Tetcho, which I agree are pretty noticeable.

1:20.7

Like, they're not subtle.

1:21.7

They could be a little bit lighter gray if I were designing a maybe minimalist version,

1:29.0

but they were close enough,

1:34.0

so she's going to try those out. And the other close contender was a Loit term, which was a great suggestion. But believe it or not, the weekly small planner from them does not have a monthly,

1:39.5

which I feel like is quite an oversight, because most people use a monthly for something, even if it's just for

1:45.9

you know, kind of a broad overview of what's going on at home or travel plans or things like that.

1:51.2

I personally use my monthly mostly to keep track of call schedules and big travel stuff or in some
