Summary

One of the best ways to build confidence is to utilize your fear of something and move through it with courage. Although some believe that courage is the absence of fear, this couldn't be further from the truth. Courage is about being afraid but doing anyway - and from this we build confidence because we can reflect on that which we have accomplished and create a library of moments in which we see our greatness arise. Reality testing is another great way to build and tap into confidence that might already be there. By truly asking yourself questions like, What am I good at?, and seeking truth in our reflection we can create opportunities for us to have perspective on our strengths. LESSONS: Courage builds confidence, and courage is at play when we are afraid of something but we do it anyway. Try to use your fear as an opportunity for confidence building and use positive self-talk to get you through. Reality testing is a very healthy way to also build confidence. Reality testing includes taking a deep look at what you feel vs. what is fact.
