Welcome guys and gals to the man talks podcast.

0:02.9

I'm Connor Beaton, the host and founder of Man Talks.

0:05.9

On this week's midweek mini episode, we're going to dive into something interesting.

0:10.3

This is a little bit out of left field, and we're going to talk about everything,

0:15.3

everything that every man needs to know about Valentine's Day.

0:18.8

And in case you're wondering, this has come out of a lot of conversations

0:22.8

with guys who are like, what, like, why does, why is Valentine's Day even a thing? Like,

0:28.3

love holiday is usually a pretty charged time because

1:12.6

there are a lot of expectations around gift giving, around quality time, around acts of service,

1:20.2

around words of affirmation. By the way, those are all love languages in case they sound

1:24.8

familiar to you. And if you haven't checked out the book,

1:32.7

The Five Love Languages, I would definitely recommend that. The Five Love Languages is a great book that basically lays out how people like to give and receive love. And it's important for us

1:37.9

when we're in relationships to understand how our partner wants to receive love and how they

1:43.1

normally give love versus how we do,

1:45.0

because oftentimes those are two very different things.
