Good morning and happy Monday Disco's welcome to our newish weekly advance mini episode.

The first community of the week between you and yours truly this place for us to set the table for all the things we're going to be discussing and listening to for the week ahead specifically this week's full episode of disgrace land on new order coming tomorrow as always on Tuesday as well as any and all music news relevant to disgrace land and it's many subjects.

And of course this is where we start the conversation that we continue over voicemail text social media and in our Thursday bonus episodes it is new order week here in disgrace land and in our episode on new order we kick things off as we usually do with a reference to the number one song in America this one from September 20th 1980 the Diana Ross masterpiece upside down love this song as a kid.

This song is written by now Rogers in Bernard Edwards she could we feature prominently in our episode on studio 54 and I highly encourage you to go listen to that episode if you haven't right after this one it's not just one of my favorite episodes I just I love disco together but beside that the chic story inside of this larger episode on disco in studio 54.

And the origin of their song lay freak and how it all came together one for the ages cool bit of trivia there music trivia in that story that I think you're really going to appreciate if you haven't heard it.

All right anyway that whole thing was she happened a couple years before this Diana Ross song entered the number one spot in 1980 and and and I have breaking news another female artist just entered the number one spot on the current billboard charts and knocked Morgan wall in from number one all the way down to number two but still this is the first time guys that we've had a current number one song referenced in these here pre-party episodes that was not.
