Summary

In this mini episode of the Startup CPG Podcast, host Daniel Scharff breaks down everything you need to know about the Founders & Funders Roadshow β€” a brand new series of accessible, city-based fundraising events coming to four cities in 2026. After the massive success of the December Founders & Funders event in New York City, Startup CPG is bringing the same energy and caliber of investors directly to founders across the country.

Daniel walks through exactly how the events work β€” from filling out your one-pager to getting matched for 10-minute 1:1 meetings with active VCs β€” and makes a strong case for why getting your ticket early is essential. He also shares the impressive VC lineups already confirmed for Los Angeles and New York, and gives practical tips for how to show up prepared and make the most of your time.

Whether you're actively fundraising or just starting to build relationships with investors, this episode will help you decide if the Roadshow is right for you β€” and how to get the most out of it.

Listen in as Daniel covers:

  • What the Founders & Funders Roadshow is and how it differs from the flagship December event
  • How the one-pager and 1:1 meeting matching process works β€” and why you can't wait until the last minute

Founders and funders, the road show is coming soon to a city near you. We have already announced

0:15.2

Los Angeles, April 27th, New York City, May 12th, Austin, June 9th, San Francisco, August 17th.

0:22.1

The reason that we do this is because it is so hard to raise money in this industry.

0:27.5

It's so hard to identify who are the active VCs really investing in the pre-seed to Series A range.

0:35.5

We have done all that work for you.

0:37.0

We've lined up these incredible VCs who are going to be coming to these events and you can get a ticket and attend. I'm really highlighting here the importance of getting your ticket as soon as possible. So I hope you enjoy listening to this episode. I'm going to talk all about what's happening at these events. Who should think about going? Tips for brands that decide to go. So,

0:54.7

enjoy this one, and I will see you at a Founders and Funders Roadshow in 26. All right, here we go.

1:06.1

Hello, my friends. A few weeks ago, we did an episode called Founders and Funders Debrie, where I told you all about the success of that major event that we threw in December in New York City.

1:16.4

I also at the end of the episode teased some really exciting news, which is we now have a version called The Road Show.

1:22.8

The reason that we do this is because the New York event, it's an incredible time. We have 70 of the top VCs around the country.

1:29.7

The nature of it, though, is it is capped. So we can't have every brand there. It's a selective

1:33.8

event. We had about 25% of the brands who applied that were admitted. But we really want to

1:38.8

give everybody access to these incredible VCs. And the way that we're doing that this year is a

1:43.6

series of events called The Road Show. Any brand can get a ticket to these incredible VCs. And the way that we're doing that this year is a series of events called

1:44.5

The Road Show. Any brand can get a ticket to these events. It's really excessively priced,

1:50.2

and we are bringing the very active VCs. It's going to hit four cities this year, 26,

1:57.2

and I want to tell you a little bit about what's going to go on, who's going to be at these events so that you can make a really good decision around it. So in general, founders and

2:05.0

funders, the road show, it'll be similar to the big event we do in December with a couple

2:09.6

changes. So here's how it works. Every brand that decides to go will purchase a ticket and then

2:17.0

they'll be able to fill out a one-pager.

2:19.0

This is a template that we've designed that is just one page in Canva, and it gives them the

2:24.6

essential details about your business, sort of like a sell sheet, but for fundraising.
