| 0:07.0 | Now, this is a topic that I've been wanting to dive into for a long time |
| 0:11.9 | and have just put some thought into the sort of philosophy and the philosophical question |
| 0:18.4 | behind how do we actually counterstrike hopelessness? |
| 0:23.1 | Because the reality is that all of us in our life, all of us at some point in our existence, |
| 0:30.4 | will suffer the heavy weight of carrying the heavy weight of hopelessness within our hearts, within our minds, |
| 0:40.4 | and within our soul. And for some of us, this hopelessness will lead us into such a darkness |
| 0:46.3 | that we will question our own existence. We will question whether or not we should continue on |
| 0:52.9 | on the path of living simply because we feel so hopeless |
| 0:57.0 | in the space, the place that we find ourselves in our relationship, in our career, and within |
| 1:06.1 | our mental state, an emotional state. And maybe for some of us, we never find that depth of hopelessness. |
| 1:14.3 | We never find that depth of lostness within our life. But surely all of us, all of us have |
| 1:22.2 | touched and felt the inner pangs of hopelessness in a situation in our circumstance. |
| 1:30.3 | When we lose a parent suddenly or a child, when we struggle within a relationship to maintain |
| 1:39.3 | balance and order, when intimacy breaks apart, when our integrity fails and we fall flat on our face because |
| 1:48.5 | of infidelity or lying or gambling or cheating or falling prey to an addiction. |
| 1:56.1 | All of us have struggled with a sense of hopelessness that is equal to the pains that other |
| 2:03.9 | people have felt at some point in their life. |
| 2:06.2 | And we all know, we all know that all of us at some point have experienced our own |
| 2:12.5 | version of hell because of the hopelessness that we felt, because of the inability to not know which |
| 2:20.8 | direction we should move our life, because of the lack of clarity of what to do next in the |
| 2:28.8 | moments where we need decisions the most. So today I'm going to talk about how to counterstrike hopelessness. |
