Hello friends and welcome to the Mini Edit from Edit Your Life. In these snack-sized mini

0:08.9

episodes, I answer your questions about everything from self-care to parenting, to relationships,

0:14.0

to home, and more. Think of me like that friend you text or call when you need a quick piece

0:19.2

of compassionate and candid advice.

Send me your questions. Today's mini is about cookies. Yay, cookies. One of my great joys around

0:29.1

the holidays is making cookies with my kids. Baking has long been how my kids and I play,

0:34.8

and it's also how I show love. I don't need much in terms of fancy

0:39.0

plans and such around the holidays, but what I do prioritize is fun baking time. I tend to make

0:45.3

anywhere from five to seven cookie varieties, and then I love packaging up mixed boxes for neighbors,

0:50.7

and then making party trays for family gatherings. Given that five to seven varieties

is a lot of cookies, we also always end up with excess to toss in the freezer. So the cookie

1:00.4

love continues on into the new year. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite

1:05.7

recipes, some of which I've made year over year. Let's start with the super easy ones. And I will link

1:11.5

everything in the show notes. My first recommendation is ricotta cookies. I first tried this

1:17.9

ricotta cookie recipe. The recipe link is to big flavors tiny kitchen.com in 2014. And though it's

1:24.6

not the first cookie I reach for on the cookie plate, my family asks for them

1:29.2

every year. I think it's something about the soft, fluffy ricotta cookie with the icing on top.

1:35.4

Yum, yum. They are super easy to make, and the yield on this recipe is huge. You could easily

1:41.3

cut the recipe in half. My second recommendation is another classic.

1:46.5

Hershey's chocolate crinkle cookies, they are super easy to make and they are a family favorite.

1:52.5

Violet actually identified these cookies, the ricotta cookies, and then the ninja bread

1:56.7

cookies I will describe later as must make holiday traditions. So that is just what we're doing.
