Send me your questions. Today's mini is about books. Yay, books. They are my favorite, and I have

six recommendations for you today. The first is Funny Story by Emily Henry. Emily Henry has such a

great ear for dialogue, and she does not disappoint in this book.

I loved the relationship development between the central characters, Miles and Daphne.

And it's a story about the beauty of finding friendship, somewhere you belong, and of accepting

people for their whole and imperfect selves. This was a book that I was delighted to turn to,

and I was really sad when it ended. And it also felt like a major accomplishment to finish

because I was reading the large print version, which meant the book was over 500 pages.

My next recommendation is just for the summer by Abby Jimenez. I wasn't sure I had the

appetite for two romances back to back, but after trying to start a couple of literary fiction

picks after reading funny story and just not feeling in the right headspace, I picked up just for

the summer off my bookstack,

and I sure did love it.

The premise of this contemporary romance is funny and it's unique.

It's about a meeting due to a Reddit post about a toilet billboard advertisement.

I mean, you just got to love the creativity.

Jimenez manages to balance witty, engaging dialogue against really serious character development
