This week Denise and I decided to read the same book together and we're going to share

some of the findings from that book with you all. It's called Who Are You by

Carolyn Mace? And so the topic for today's show is on archetypes. What is your

primary archetype and how can you use the information from your archetype to help you grow in your spiritual development?

Deese, do you want to start off with like a good definition that Carolyn gives from her book on what an archetype is?

Yes, and what I love, love about this book is that it will help you identify more clearly

with the way you're navigating in the world but also

other people in your life.

It's a great resource and we're going to talk about a lot of different nuances of it.

But Carolyn Mace describes an archetype as the vocabulary of intuition

and the more familiar we are with them, the more clearly will resonate with our own intuition.

Artypes speak to us in a language of myths and symbols, perfectly suited to a society

that's become fluent in high-tech code, instant messages and Twitter speak. The only difference is that

archetypes originate in our cosmic intelligence and not in our technical awareness.

And she goes on to say, the language of archetypes is the universal language of the human soul

psychically uniting us all through what Kalyun called the collective unconscious.

So really, really interesting stuff.

It really is. And she points out in her book that we've been doing archetypal power

readings our whole lives. She says whenever you sit down at an airport

or just at a park and you people watch you're doing archetypal readings.

And you know when she said that I thought I wonder if that's true.
