Summary

This week on Mindful Monday we continue to talk about Back to School. I am spending some time thinking about going back to school and I am thinking about lots of “What ifs?” I have found some funny books about going back to school to share with you this week. The first book we are going to talk about is The Pigeon HAS to Go to School! by Mo Willems. Pigeon does not want to go back to school and he spends lots of time thinking about “What if?”. He says there is too much to learn and too much to do. In the end he decides that school is exactly where he wants to be. Another book we are going to look at is My Teacher is a Monster! (No, I Am Not.) by Peter Brown. Bobby has a problem at school and her name is Mrs. Kirby. She stomps, roars, and acts like a monster. Bobby can’t believe it when he meets her at the park but by the end of the day he thinks, maybe she isn’’t such a monster after all.
