And the Are we over it yet? Are we over this notion that the NFL is not producing a quality

product that week in week out we're treated to bad football. I've heard that analysis perpetually

this season to help explain why ratings are down and it's not true. Again

last night Thursday night football Thursday night has been notoriously the least quality

version of the NFL product, and yet, and yet,

it was a great game, really enjoyed it it now. I didn't actually watch it because I don't watch the games

Because I don't want to become biased because I've seen some plays and haven't seen others. I don't want the splash plays that I am privy to to skew my

perception of those players. So I do not watch the games, specifically to

ensure that I am as unbiased as possible.

Though I would admit that if Jeff Janus were to score a touchdown,

I would go watch the highlight and I did go watch the highlight

of Geric McKinnon's 50-yard run.

In fact, I was refreshing on NFL.com so I could see the run!

I'll admit that. Happy to admit bias with Jarek McKinnon and Jeff Janus because I am already out in the open as a truther of those two players.

But this is a quality product that the NFL has been rolling out this season.

Because the preseason is not taken seriously by NFL teams, they play their

starters less than 60 minutes total, the first couple of games of the season are essentially

a dress rehearsal.

The players are clearly rusty, but since week three,

we've been treated to quality football every week,

and now we're getting quality Thursday night games.

That's impressive.
