Sometimes the line between visionary and madman

is pretty thin, maybe even non-existent aside from the result.

A visionary succeeds, whereas a madman is a failure.

Let's break this down though.

What is a visionary?

A visionary is someone who sees the world differently

in a way others don't.

A visionary summons up a harmony of self-belief, unique thoughts,

novelty, tenacity in order to birth their vision into consensus reality.

So what does this have to do with a madman?

Well, I'll tell you, don't madmen also see the world differently.

Don't mad men also have unique and novel thoughts.

I say the madman and the visionary share more features than not. So perhaps a

portion of these rock-bottom dwellers, these madmen who have been booted to the fringes of society, maybe some of them

were a hair away from being visionaries themselves. Maybe they just lacked a small piece of the puzzle or the

timing wasn't quite right. And on the other hand I'm quite sure that there are a lot of crazies at the top of the pyramid that we would consider visionaries.
