early ancestors? So I start trying to boil it down to its most basic essence and my God is it

challenging because I hit a wall my psychic tendrils of inquiry felt like they were bashing up against an adamantium ontological safe.

A safe made of culture, of language, of technology, tools, systems, numbers, the very things our hypothetical

ancestor would not have had.

So to get to the most pure unclouded form of creativity, you've got to cut away all of that baggage

and we just can't do it. We cannot conceive of that. And then of course at some point you run into the

inevitable question of why we even have this unique capacity to create in the first place, and that is where things really branch off into a lot of
