orbit hath begun, and I for one am excited about it. I'm elated in particular to continue our dialogues, dear

Wonder Dippers. And you know me, I think that I'm in general, pretty optimistic. I like to believe we're all

gonna do the work, we venture into the figurative forest,

the proverbial dungeon, and come away

with new treasures and elixirs this year.

And I really do believe that we can't. I certainly plan to this year but of

course let's not fool ourselves. There are threshold guardians lurking around out there, waiting to pounce, oftentimes in ways we can't possibly

anticipate. I mean, 2020 showed us that, if anything.

So to that point, one of the sort of proverbial sacred objects,

I guess in this case a sort of psychic sacred object that I'm going to try to carry into the shadows of the new year

is the following. And it's an idea that Godsy brings up on this pod that I kind of ran with and remixed myself and is this

boil down this year into an ethos consisting of at most a few keywords. So step one is to select those words.

Select your chosen ethos for the year. Then step two is to define how those words

would play out in a completely ideal way, not a way that will perfectly come to pass, but an

ideal one.

Because in conceiving of that sort of platonic ideal and meditating on it, you orient yourself

toward that thing.

Then, step three, a practice I started doing a couple of days ago,

is a journaling check-in orbiting those words.
