Among the many things these mind melds do for me. They have a way of adding nutrients and fertility to my

wonder soil. And because of this one in particular I've been thinking a lot about the difference between

stigma, you know, taboos and counterculture because I think they're different they're

often sneakily bundled together Verizon style but one psychological subscription is useful and constructive, while the other is almost exclusively a waste of energy.

I think counterculture actually has the

capacity to move things forward whereas taboo is just fertile ground for

marginalization and propaganda.

The state of the conversation around psychedelics right now, for instance,

is a perfect example of this, because when it was dominated by taboo people

had this fear-based knee-jerk reaction where they would parrot whatever they grew up here it,

whenever the topic would pop up.

Can't they make you go crazy?

Doesn't LSD make you jump out of windows?

A friend of mine actually seriously once told me that

mushrooms aren't real unless they make you vomit

due to the poison in them.

And when I pressed him on where he got this,

he said that a cop told his class this

when he was a kid. And now we know better if we're even

remotely educated we know that's ridiculous and couldn't be further from the truth
