Summary

This extra-curricular content contains two guided meditations from the wise and wonderful Thubten Chodron.

The first ten or so minutes contain a basic introduction to meditation.

After that comes a meatier mind dive into the topic of self-forgiveness, something I think we could all use. It provides some powerful perspective on making mistakes, owning them and ultimately moving forward from them and separating yourself from them.

My friends, we've got something different. It is some actual actionable content that you can participate in and hopefully enjoy and work with and directly derive a little benefit from if you go for it. The wise and wonderful and very sweet Thubton Children from last week's episode has offered up her guided meditations

to our listeners.

0:29.0

The first one, which by the way I've painstakingly

0:33.8

curated with the care of a

It's only about seven minutes. But I think it establishes a nice vibe. And I'm going to place a short pause after that one because there is

1:06.1

sort of a call to just continue sitting on your own for a few extra minutes after

1:12.0

that and then the following meditation for a few extra minutes after that.

1:13.7

And then the following meditation

1:15.5

is a bit of a meteor mind dive

1:18.8

into some specific topics,

1:21.4

particularly self-forgiveness.

1:23.7

It's something that I think we all could use.

1:27.2

There's far too little of going around,

1:29.5

and it really provides some nice, pretty powerful perspective on making mistakes and owning

1:35.9

those mistakes and actually addressing them and ultimately moving

1:39.7

forward from them. So it's beautiful stuff. I think it's highly useful and relevant and

1:45.7

I think this goes without saying but another thing I love about this is

1:49.7

this practice doesn't require you to label yourself as a Buddhist or anything.

1:56.0

It's just a technique that you can try and deem for yourself whether or not it has merit or use but I have no doubt that you will otherwise it would not be
