I treasure your presence always, and in the many thoughts that rushed in in the wake of this one the one that

stuck out in particular was this question.

Where does the magic go?

Because I've never met a child

that wasn't brimming with it,

but when I find an adult that's blasting it, that is a rare beast.

I marvel at them. I probably try to get them on the podcast.

So what's going on there?

What is it that causes the slow, vampiric suck on our morale?

What is it that feeds off of the awe, wonder, and creativity we were dripping

with as a child, and hopefully not literally, dripping with it if a child came up to me and and

said I'm dripping with wonder and they were wet with some viscous goop, I would be troubled. But anyway, I would love it if there was some

sexy secret, if there was some black hooded cabal of energy vamps

spouting incantations around some demonic Babylonian effigy out there feeding off the creativity of the masses, but deep down,

I think I know the answer and it's much more mundane. It's that the parasitic demons live in our

minds and they're called doubt, fear, fear, convenience, sloth, etc.

And sure, there are external ones too that suck the magic out.
