The explosive proliferation of technology has to be the sharpest double-edged sword that mankind has ever constructed and depending on which reality tunnel you view this metaphorical techno sword through,

it's either going to free us through automation anded plenty and cybernetic superpowers or it is going to give birth

to a ruthless AI overlord who will at best pharma's for energy matrix style while

sedating us in a hypnotic VR twilight or maybe a little bit of both. There are so many joyous

utopian positive things to discuss when you're talking about technology and all of its potential and there are an equal amount of dark negative

terrifying things as I was brainstorming for this intro I listed out dozens of them and I was going to go

through several cycles of discussing these things and exploring various

philosophical avenues of what can happen.

It's all worth discussing and exploring,

but I think Zoltan and I get into

a good amount of this stuff in this conversation and that's why he's on the show.

He's absolutely on the more optimistic end when it comes to forecasting the techno-drenched

future that we're headed toward and I'll admit

when you talk to him about it it's infectious. This is actually my second time

having a lengthy conversation with the guy and he gets me excited. Not excited enough

to be the first in line to upload my consciousness into some sort of digital format, but he

does temper a lot of my fears.
