Today I'm honored to do the interview from the land whose original caretakers are the Massachusetts Pona Pohag.

In these moments, acknowledging the land and indigenous peoples are important expressions of solidarity with First Nations

and indigenous people throughout time on this continent that we share. Today, I'm honored to have

Dr. Cindy Blackstock, Gikistan, First Nations member, professor of social work at McGill University, and the executive

director of the First Nations Child and Family Caring Society of Canada, and longtime

indigenous children's advocate.

Cindy, thank you so much for doing the second interview with me today on the very

complicated topic of mind control and colonialism. You are my guest in late 2021 on the topic of

dismantling colonialism, and that conversation continues to evolve.

We are broaching this topic today because there are many people asking questions about what's going on in the world.

Today we will be unpacking some of this.

I joined you from unseeded and unsurrendered Algonquin Territory here in Ottawa, Ontario.

I think one of the key messages is that this whole idea of propaganda that's familiar to many of us,

we've known it's been out there, but we haven't always considered how

it affects some of the most serious human rights abuses around the world, how it injects itself

into the governance of societies, into the way that the public sees or does not see these

human rights abuses, and the way they react.

And indeed, even into the population that is experiencing those human rights abuses.
