The 1929 a new young Spanish up-and-coming filmmaker called Louis Boonwell and a surrealist artist

called Salvador Darlie were sat together in a restaurant and both exchanged stories about dreams they'd recently had.

Boudwell told Darlie about a dream in which a cloud sliced the moon in half, like a razor blade

slicing through an eye.

Darlie responded that he had had a dream about a hand that was crawling with ants.

Boonwell declared, there's a film there, let's go and make it.

And so they did.

Dali and Boonwell proceeded to make a film which adhered to one simple rule.

Do not dwell on anything that requires rational explanations. Open the way to the

irrational regardless of meaning. The result was one of the most baffling and fascinating films in the early

cinema era, a film that within its 22 minute running time is filled to the brim with body horror psychological horror and to this day

some of the most extreme images in cinema history.

1929 unshyandelou. We will be talking about this movie in depth in spoilerific

details although I don't think you can really spoil a film like

UN Shian and delu. But I would recommend everyone go and check it out. It's only 20 minutes long
