Welcome to another episode of The Ryan Pineda Show! Today we have a solo podcast and I’m going to tell you about the top 5 books books I’ve read in 2021. I’m shown new ideas and new perspectives on business, life, philosophies, and things that make me change the way I operate. I think most people aren’t doing that. They aren’t exposing themselves to enough different ideas. They stay doing the status quo, just continuing what they’ve always done, and they wonder why their results never change. For me, I’m always trying to grow. I think one of the biggest reasons I have been able to do that, especially in business, is because I’ve exposed myself to so many different ideas. At this point in my life, I like to teach and tell people a whole bunch of things in one. So many different things that I’ve absorbed over the years are what I tell people to do. I think reading it great!

I started reading heavily in 2018 when I retired from baseball and went into business full time. I read about 40 books that year. It was also the year I made $2 million! I contribute most of that success to reading books. In 2019, I only read 14 books and have a really down year. In 2020, I read 52 books and have my best year ever!

For 2021, I thought 52 books was too much for me. I was cramming some books and avoiding longer books. So I had decided on reading 36 goals, and I did! Today I go into details about my favorite books from 2021, why I liked these books, and how I applied them to my life.

Book #1 Is “Who Not How” by Dan Sullivan. This book was great it taught me about how sometimes people want to learn a new skill, but learning that skill may not be time effective. It may take some time to learn the skill that you may not even use often, so it would be more efficient to bring someone aboard who already knows the skill.
