Summary

Everything nowadays seems to be a throwback. We live in an era of movie remakes, '90s food fads returning, and songs from 20 years ago being remixed into top hits now. In short: nostalgia brings the past back into vogue, and reminds us of a “simpler time.” But could living in the past impact our future? Start Here producer Jen Newman helps to break down this phenomenon, and why people gravitate towards the past. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

1:24.6

And I almost exclusively watch cartoons like The Simpsons while eating my breakfast.

1:33.3

Every morning, without fail. It's only a half hour of my day, but it's my absolute

1:37.9

favorite part of it. And after thinking about why, I suppose this routine does bring

1:42.6

me a lot of comfort. It reminds me of simpler times, sorry, back in the 90s when I was

1:46.7
