and this week we sat down with Americana singer-songwriter Matthew Mayfield.

We spoke with this talented singer about his latest album, Recoil,

So I listen to your music preparing for this interview,

and I hear a lot of different elements in your songs.

For those don't know, describe your sound and how you perceive your music.

Well, I kind of... You kind of have to put it as a musical bipolar disorder.

You know, I tend to go one way or the other.

So there's a lot of, you know, a lot of stuff when I was growing up as a kid.

My dad used to play, you know, the Beatles and Neo Young and a bunch of fokey stuff as a kid on an acoustic guitar.
