Hi it's a. J. and I'm actually sitting outside today at a coffee shop a sidewalk coffee shop here in the city of San Francisco my favorite city in America.

It's a great place and we have fantastic weather today.

It's November 30th, but still it's nice and warm, sunny day no clouds in the sky fantastic and

so actually today I want to talk a little bit about San Francisco because we just

saw a movie a really great movie which is about

San Francisco's history and it's called Milk M I L K and it's about a man

named Harvey Milk and Harvey Milk about a man named Harvey Milk

and Harvey Milk was a very important person in San Francisco.

He was a leader of the gay rights movement

here in San Francisco

and back in the 1970s and he became the first openly gay government

official in the United States.

He became a city supervisor,

which is kind of a member of the city government.

So we have the mayor, and then you have supervisors,

like I can't remember how many there are now I

think there are nine supervisors and that's the city government in San Francisco

so he became the first openly gay city supervisor and in addition to being a city supervisor he was just a

leader in the gay community in San Francisco and really helped to get gay rights protected and guaranteed here in the city of San Francisco.

As most people know, San Francisco has a very large gay community

and we have a very strong gay rights movement here and

Harvey Milk is one of the big reasons that we have that now.
