In terms of the more militant contemporary far-right groups,

who are we looking at these days,

who are the more active more militant groups in

Australia probably the most well-known almost certainly is a group called the

National Socialist Network it's neo-Nazi explicitly so. They identify

there as being a great inspiration, the leader of the group.

Tom Sewell once claimed that he had undergone some kind of electric shock as a result of which

Hitler appeared to him and annoyed him, the leader within Australia.

So we're dealing with some interesting characters.

But his history goes back a few years to,

about 10 years ago, when we had a thing

called Reclaim Australia.

And that was, this was 2014, 2015,

that launched largely in response to the Cafe Lint Siege.

So there was a cafe in Sydney, a Muslim took over that cafe for a brief period, made various statements, was eventually killed during the course of a police raid on that cafe. But it was read as being

evidence that Muslims were being given too much license. It spurred into action a range of Islamophobic
