I can't believe this, Miles George's favorite feet is sitting right across for me. Thanks so much for being here, first of all.

Thank you for having me, man. It's so exciting. Yeah, a low threshold for excitement.

You guys came to the LA County Museum where I run the film program with a film. And first of all, for people who don't know the movie, tell them a little bit what it's about.

Yeah, it's kind of, you know, it takes place in 94 in upstate New York.

I grew up in upstate New York.

I was born in 92, so I don't really remember it that well.

But my brother is kind of of that generation, but it's really, it's a story about kind of these three

friends discovering themselves and discovering their interests and their sexuality and love

and really exploring love with these two boys and this girl and their parents and sort of the

societal pressures that are on them, but also the lack of resources

that they kind of have to deal with these things, especially at that time. And it's framed

through these police depositions, which are basically alluding to this tragedy that

happened. So it's a lot about subjectivity and about reconstructing the memories of these kids'

relationship, you know, through the sort of cinematic lens that they

remember it through.

You know, and it's not about what happens.

It's about sort of the way these people are constructing their relationships.

And that, to me, was kind of the most exciting thing to look at as opposed to making a,

you know, a coming of age film or something like that that was about
