Now, let's jump in today. I've noticed that one of the problems people have with the Bible

is that it often says things that they don't

like. And when it does, people tend to reinterpret what it means instead of simply taking God at his word.

And one of the fundamental principles in understanding the Bible is to take it for what it says at face value unless it's clearly figurative

or symbolic. And what throws people off about the book of Revelation is the shocking nature of the book itself.

It talks about doorways into heaven, angelic creatures, overwhelming destruction, and at the same time, the events and characters described seem to push every barrier of reality that our Western minds have determined as logical, which makes the divide between the natural world and the supernatural world very thin,

all of which is incredibly off-putting because it's one thing to go to the movies and see

apocalyptic destruction, right?

But it's something entirely different to mentally reconcile that this world is headed for unprecedented

judgment that will result in more than one third of everyone who's left behind after the rapture

of the church dying of famine, war, disease, and supernatural events. Now, as we get into our text for this session, I want to

remind you that these judgments are released through a succession of events that the Bible depicts

as the seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven bowls that are described throughout the

Bible as the wrath of the Lamb.

And the most common perspective among scholars and theologians is that each one of these

judgments is the catalyst for the next, and that the wrath of God becomes

more severe as they progress. Now, here's something you might find interesting. In each set
