What I got is Mike Tomlin was certainly the most sought after TV personality after

retiring as the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

And he has landed at NBC's Sunday night football pregame show. I mean, this is one of the biggest

television, NFL television free agents we've seen in years. His addition to the NBC's Sunday

night pregame show called Football Night in America means means that Tony Dungy is out. You know,

Dungey was not my favorite on that show. There were a lot of us that literally before the Sunday

night game, if you weren't sure who to bet on, you just waited for Dungey to make his pick and just go

opposite. I guarantee you that probably hit 60% of the time to go opposite of Dungey. But you'll have

Chris Sims, Rodney Harrison, I think it's Maria Taylor, Jason Garrett, right? They've got a lot of people on that set,

but Mike Tomlin's going to join that set too. I would have, I like that spot for Tomlin.

I would have loved to have had Tomlin on games, like being a lead analyst on games. It's not something

that a lot of the guys, when they get this opportunity, want to do,

because the truth is, it takes a lot more work to, you know, prepare for one individual game.

Plus, you have to get in early to those cities, sometimes on Friday, to meet with coaches

and quarterbacks. And so some of the guys, especially some of the super high profile guys that

have choices, prefer to do a studio bit because they can literally show up to that studio set

two hours before showtime.

It doesn't have to be two days before showtime.

But man, Mike Tomlin, what's he going to be like as a TV personality?

Because I'm not sure there's been a better quote among coaches for a long period of time.

I think he'll be excellent looking forward to it.

I wonder if he'll go back to coaching or not.
