I thought today was a really good work day, really impressed with the mentality, the energy,

just overall work that we got in. You thought guys were a day closer to the last game,

and I thought they did a nice job and getting treatment, taking care of their bodies,

getting their mindset ready to

come out here and put together a really good Tuesday. You know, obviously some things we'll have to

continue to clean up as we're building towards it towards Friday. But, you know, I like the way

the week has begun. You guys did a good job. I thought the focus was great last night. We had

short meetings, you know, but I mean guys understand what's ahead. And you know for us it's about

going and just continuing to get better. Focusing on fundamentals, focus on details, the

discipline that's going to be necessary. You'll hear this week and you know I thought they

got off to a good start.

The name was the opponent this week and not kind of mention them by name. I don't know. How long have you been doing that? I guess, does that trade back to? Is the motivation as simple as? I don't know. I just don't. It's not really like, okay. Let me think about this. I just don't. What does stand out about your opponent this week as far as what

when you put them on film? What is it that you know? I mean you see talent. I mean this is a talented

team. It's you got great size, speed, athleticism. You know, you've seen them play at very high

levels, you know, at different different states, you know, different spots of the year.

You know, it's one that is very capable. And, you know, they've played a, you know, they played at a high level throughout. And, I mean, you know, there's just, you know, they're in the first year of a new staff. So, again, like some new schemes, different things like that. But, no, it's a talented group they're playing. When you look at Florida and Billy Napier, you know, what kind of similarities you see from a group of five to like, you know, when you took over Florida State,

do you see any similarities at all?

I mean, no, I mean coaching as coach.

Billy actually, you know, he was the office coordinator at Arizona State right after I left, so, you know, he does a good job. And, I mean, I know, you know, I don't, you know, he and I don't know each other really, you know, like that. But, you know, a lot of people that have worked with them that know them and, you know, got respect for him as of who he is., you know, you see that he knows what he's, he knows what to do and, you know, offensively and, you know, they do a good job schematically and what they're, what they're, what they're, what they're, what they try to attack. You got great success that, uh, at ULL, you know, his time there. So, you know, he worked for the opportunity and earned the opportunity so no i love it i mean you see

you guys defining roles in special teams um you know we're not going to play a player on any unit unless we feel like they're going to put us in the best position to be successful. You know, and you talk about those guys. You know, Sydney has really taken a lot of ownership in that, you know, Wyatt Rector has taken a lot of ownership. Brennan, a lot of ownership. And, you know, that opens up even more, more opportunities as their roles are defined, they're offensively and defensively.

You know, I think those guys are making an incredible impact, and, you know, we need that. You know, we challenge our guys, you know, in special teams, every unit, each play. I mean, that is the most important play. And, you know, I think our guys have bought into that. But we've got, you know, a bunch of guys that have really, you know, improved themselves, you know, through those, through those experiences, you know, you know, Kentron, somebody that I think about Malik, somebody I think about, that has played at a high level with, you know, within those units. And we've got a lot of guys that really take a lot of ownership there.
