Summary

Mike Maughan was serving in a YSA bishopric when he heard Blake Roney, now the president of the Provo City Center Temple say, "We are not the gatekeepers, we are the welcoming committee." That single statement changed the way Mike has lived in the years since and it changed the culture of the YSA ward in which he was serving. 0:06.0	and Nelson's passing on September 27th, 2025. As I went back to edit the episode, I was reminded
0:13.6	of a small portion of this conversation in which Mike and I discuss President Nelson's

0:23.4	I felt so grateful that we had one last chance to honor our dear prophet.
0:29.0	But as I continued to edit, I found it interesting that I think President Nelson embodied

0:39.5	committee for Christ. He invited all of us to participate in the gospel of Jesus Christ, and by doing
