Nothing much going on out there today, right?

Hey, Mike, just before we get into Menendez and Trump and everything, as an observer across the river here, what do you make of a city council in New York City that wants to slap on all kinds of paperwork for the police?

If a tourist comes up to a policeman in New York City now and says, can you tell me where Times Square is? The policeman has to get into his car and file a report that a tourist asks him where Times Square is. This is insanity, if you ask me.

It is nuts. Let's start with the premise. The New York City Police Department is one of the best police departments in the world.

Okay.

Yeah, there's been criticism of them, but let's get real here.

These guys are good cops for the most part.

And, you know, they have managed to keep a very complex city, very safe for a long period of time. And I think when the city council or anybody gets involved in trying to muck up that, they really ought to think twice about it.

Yeah, does police reform need to happen in some places? Yeah, and I think a lot of cops are

aware that. In fact, if you talk to rank and file cops, they know what needs to be reformed

and they want to do it.

But, I mean, when the city council starts getting involved in this stuff, especially with,

you know, filling out paperwork and that sort of thing, I just just roll my eyes.
