At long last, Mike Johnson has had to do the one thing he most did not want to do,

and that is swear in Arizona Democratic Representative Adela Grijalva.

Johnson has been putting this off for seven weeks now, probably for obvious reasons,

but as Mother Jones put it,

Ghalva is the Trump regime's worst nightmare.

Why? Well, as you probably already know,

Grijalva has pledged to sign the discharge position that would force a vote

on a bipartisan bill to release government files from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. Shortly before taking her

oath of office, Rahalfa spoke to MSNBC about Speaker Johnson's unlawful delaying of swearing her in.

And here's what she had to say. This is unprecedented. It's undemocratic. It's unconstitutional. It's illegal. Nobody. No member

election ever be in the situation again where 813,000 people are silenced because one person wants

to play politics with, you know, their swearing in. There was no reason I should be in this

position. We had several proaring in. There was no reason I should be in this position.

We had several pro forma sessions.

There have been entire freshman class that were sworn in during a shutdown.

So, and the fact that the Senate hadn't passed, the CR has nothing to do with me.

That was all to give Speaker Johnson more time in order to try to convince one of those four Republicans to take their name off.

Or maybe perhaps waiting to see what was going to happen on Tuesday because one of the winners, the new governor, is also one of the signers, one of the 217 that have signed.

I mean, there's a lot of like, you know, chess playing here,

but respectfully, Southern Arizona deserves to have a representative that can fully represent them.

And I'm glad that that's finally going to happen after 49 days of waiting.

Yeah, it is an abuse of power.
