We are delighted to have you with us today and I want to start out with this week's condemnation of one of the worst people in the political, national and perhaps galactic universe and really lay out why I think it is so important that we understand that Mike Johnson has taken upon himself to engage in what will cause more damage,

more destruction, more pain, more harm, more lives lost and lives cut short than any Speaker

of the House in history. Mike Johnson is pushing as hard as he can to do the one thing that

Donald Trump and Wall Street care about. And that is the big,

beautiful bill. It is a big, steaming, hideous shit show of a bill. But Mike Johnson is using

every trick in the book, including holding hearings at one in the morning, refusing to allow the

bill's particulars to be debated, refusing to allow the Democrats and Republicans to see what's in the bill, all of this

on the top line has a few big elements that we know of. The biggest is an $800 billion cut

to Medicare and Medicaid. In these days, $800 billion doesn't seem like as much money as it

used to. But what it means is about 45 million Americans are going to lose their ability to get

health care.

And while Josh Hawley and I rarely agree on much, he's not wrong.

Well, the right thing to do is not to cut Medicaid.

So I'm glad to hear him say that.

for the working poor. That's what we're talking about here with Medicaid. Unlike the Fox News,

MAGA right-wing portrayal of folks on Medicare and Medicaid, the vast majority of them are

shirkers sitting home, eating bonbons, and watching their stories. The vast majority of them

are working poor. The vast majority of them live in their stories. The vast majority of them are working poor.
